East Hampton Edibles, which offers 100% handmade confections, recently launched their signature Macadamia Butter Brickle, available in Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate. The company, which was founded in 2010 by owner Anita Zeldin provides all customers with “a little piece of Hamptons heaven.” Dark Chocolate Macadamia Butter Brickle by Ellen Watson Photography Zeldin, who spent 25 years making a name for herself on Wall Street in the corporate world always wanted to venture out into a more creative field and did so, when she relocated to Arizona. During her time in Arizona, Zeldin discovered a passion for pastry arts and experimented with different concepts and recipes in her spare time, especially with one of her personal favorite ingredients, chocolate. Zeldin’s best creation, her Chocolate-covered Macadamia Butter Brickle was the driving force that led her to open up her own business. In 2009, she returned to her hometown of East Hampton and invested in her passion of pastry making; resulting in the birth of East Hampton Edibles, a year later. Within a couple months after the company’s start, her signature treats of Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate Macadamia Butter Brickle became very popular amongst the Hamptons crowd. Zeldin has many plans for the future of East Hampton Edibles, including introducing additional handmade confections. Currently, a eight-ounce bag of treats goes for a suggested retail price of $12.95 and is now for sale at the following Hamptons locations: Hampton Market Place, home, james!, Round Swamp Farm, Scoop du Jour and Tiffany & Co. in East Hampton; Vicki’s Veggies in Amagansett; and The Elegant Setting and Schmidt’s Market in Southampton.
