What every fashionista — or as I was just educated this week — recessionista needs to know about the Hamptons and fashion is that where there is a will, there is always a way to get the top brands. The ladies that lunch in the Hamptons would not be seen sporting the same Dior suit or clutching last season’s Louis Vuitton bag. So they head on over to Collette’s and consign their clothing and accessories and get a Return On their Investment. That’s how they stretch their dollars, and that’s how the rest of the recessionistas find amazing buys at the Collette stores throughout the Hamptons. It’s the kind of place where you can find a cute pair of Gucci loafers or even a Hermes Birken.
