Last Saturday night I went with 15 of the girls from my share house to Georgica, the new, upscale restaurant/lounge in Wainscott. We started out the evening with a wonderful dinner there and then proceeded indoors for some cocktails and dancing. From the outdoor patio where we dined, we could see a group of hot guys sitting on the couches near the dance floor and were itching to get the bill so we could join the crowd. If you are sick of the club scene with the 20-somethings and just want to have a fun night with your friends, Georgica is the place to be. The guys were quite good-looking, put together, well-dressed and the girls were sophisticated and some even modelesque. We spotted Jill Zarin from The Real Housewives of New York and spoke with her and her husband briefly. Russell Simmons also hosted a private party there so we knew it was a hot spot. To my surprise, the drinks were priced quite reasonably and the bartenders were great. I was really impressed that after I placed my first order, the bartender remembered what I was drinking. Kudos to that! As for the atmosphere, you could move from room to room depending on your mood, whether you wanted to relax by the bar, dance, or sit on the table service couches. Of course my girls and I were the last ones left, as we could not get enough of the DJ who kept us dancing all night. I have been coming out to the Hamptons for years and the place to be in Summer 2009 is definitely Georgica.
