If you are single, there are places more conducive to conversation than Pink Elephant or Axe.
On the Hamptons Luxury Liner, you have access to up to 43 people, many single, any of whom could be your portal to sex, love and happiness. And guys, 70% of riders are women.
There’s no approach anxiety, you’re in a non-threatening environment and you’re probably not drunk.
Sitting side-by-side for 2 to 3 hours, you are basically on a date.
Here are some tips to make the most of your ride:
Choose your seat wisely. If you are getting on at an early stop, sit midway through the bus. Too close up front and whoever will just sit down next to you. All the way in the back and some people won’t get that far. You can put your bag on the seat next to you and look unfriendly until someone hot walks by. If you are getting on at the last stop or next-to-last stop, it will be easy to do a quick scan of potential seatmates next to empty seats.
Topics of conversation. Hi is always a good opener. Start talking about the bus or how excited you are for the weekend/how tired you are from the weekend, the Hamptons, what book your seatmate is reading, the overhead movie that is playing, anything. Just start talking right away. If you find you don’t like the other person, you can always put on your iPod.
Resist immediate satisfaction. After clicking with a good-looking stranger for an hour or two, it’s tempting to keep hanging out once off the bus. Don’t. Better to exchange numbers and see him or her later in the city or in the Hamptons. Always leave them wanting more.
