Estia’s Little Kitchen

2You’ve been sitting in traffic for hours while trying to locate your summer share.  It’s hot, the AC isn’t doing much, and you’re beyond fatigued. If you’re by the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor turnpike, Estia’s Little Kitchen will give you an energy kick.

Especially when we jump over the week bump and head into Thursday, the fish has just been delivered, the flowers are in full bloom around the restaurant and there are available tables since the weekends are the most heavily visited.

Executive Chef, Partner and Creative Director Colin Ambrose tells us that his favorite dish is the Potato Crusted Flounder, which is locally caught and served with steamed vegetables.

Actor Alec Baldwin even inspired the kitchen. Baldwin had suggested that the restaurant carry a burrito (now called Big Al’s) that carries the same requirements in an egg white profile to keep some of us vegetarians coming back.

As for drinks, Estia’s offers a wonderful collection of friend Christian Wolffer’s chilled Wolffer Rose bottles.

“Everything is special at The Little Kitchen,” says Ambrose. “Especially the love that our customers get.”

Dinners take place Thursday to Sunday beginning at 5 p.m. Estia’s is open for breakfast and lunch from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day excluding Tuesday.
